Transparent methods before conclusions

How StocksControl sources, normalizes, calculates and presents financial information, statistical comparisons, scores and valuation scenarios.

Scope of the analysis

StocksControl organizes quantitative data and qualitative evidence to support initial due diligence and investment monitoring. No metric, score, scenario or generated text should be interpreted in isolation or as investment advice.

Methods may vary with the asset type, data availability, sector, industry, currency and applicable accounting framework.

Sources and provenance

The platform primarily uses financial and market information supplied by Financial Modeling Prep (FMP), together with regulatory or public sources where a feature identifies them, such as the SEC and Nasdaq for certain US instruments and documents.

Third-party data may contain delays, revisions, omissions, classification errors or differences from the original document. Whenever a figure is material, users should compare it with the issuer’s financial statements, filings and official communications.

Normalization and integrity

  • Resolve each quotation to a canonical company or instrument.
  • Preserve periods, effective dates, currencies and data provenance.
  • Separate reported values, estimates, market data and derived calculations.
  • Validate consistency, coverage and quality before using data in aggregated calculations.
  • Persist derived results to avoid inconsistent recalculation on every request.

Calculations and comparability

Metrics use documented formulas and comparable periods where the data permits. LTM values are derived only when compatible periods provide sufficient coverage. Amounts may be converted between currencies and prices may be adjusted for corporate events according to the available source.

Historical comparisons, percentiles and distributions depend on the observed sample. Sample size, outliers, composition changes and survivorship bias can limit their interpretation.

Scores and expert system

Scores summarize persisted signals covering profitability, growth, financial strength, valuation and market behavior. The expert system is deterministic: it applies explicit rules to available data and separates direction, quality, confidence and items requiring monitoring.

A score simplifies complex information. It is not a guaranteed probability of return, does not remove risk and may change when data, coverage or rules change.

Valuation and scenarios

Bear, Base and Bull scenarios depend on assumptions about fundamentals, multiples, horizon, dividends and other factors. Compound annual growth rates and estimated prices are conditional outputs, not predictions or professional price targets.

Small changes can materially affect the result. Users should inspect every assumption, consider scenarios outside the model and apply a margin of safety consistent with their own judgment.

AI and community content

AI-assisted analyses may combine a narrative document, structured metadata and revision lineage. They can contain inferences or errors and must be checked against cited evidence. Official, community, public and user labels describe origin or visibility, not a guarantee of accuracy.

User contributions express their authors’ views. Moderation seeks to enforce service rules but is not financial validation of the content.

Updates, coverage and corrections

Prices, fundamentals, estimates, filings and analyses update on different schedules. Use the displayed date or effective date to assess how current each item is. The absence of a warning does not mean that information is complete or real time.

Issues can be reported with the ticker, period, metric and original source. Corrections are evaluated at source-data level before derived information is recalculated.
